Graduate Admissions

Apply using the Applicant Portal

The Apply Now button on the right will take you to the Applicant Portal, where you can create and submit your application and supporting documents, and request references.

An application is only complete when:

  1. you have submitted your application and supporting documents via the Applicant Portal
  2. you have paid the £65 application fee
  3. your referees have provided their references.

If you miss the deadlines specified in this section, you will not be able to submit your application.

Applicants must identify a prospective supervisor on their application. It is essential that applicants contact prospective supervisors before submitting an application. The support of a prospective supervisor does NOT guarantee the offer of a place, nor funding.

Applications are usually only considered for October entry.

This course is part of a scheme within the Graduate School of Life Sciences which enables three applications to be made with payment of a single £65 application fee. A list of other eligible courses and further information can be found here.

Selection Process

Interviews will last approximately 30 minutes and may be conducted in person or by Skype. Telephone interviews are acceptable if Skype is not possible. Applicants are interviewed by at least two academic members of the department, including the prospective supervisor. Applications are considered on a rolling basis.
