PhD Infection Dispersal in Buildings (Fixed Term)

A new PhD project at the BP Institute in University of Cambridge to study infection dispersal processes in buildings has been created in the present crisis. This fully-funded project will involve collecting data in building laboratory models and theoretical models of ventilation flows, and interpreting the data using these models, in terms of airborne droplet dispersal.

Eustachian tube dysfunction is a common disorder of Eustachian tube opening and closing which may be associated with severe symptoms and middle ear disease. Interest in this field has increased over recent years following the introduction of balloon dilatation of the Eustachian tube as a treatment. The proposed project aims to develop biomechanical models of Eustachian tube normal function and dysfunction to better understand and use existing diagnostic tools, optimise current treatments, and help develop new treatments.

EPSRC iCASE Studentship - Digital Twins for Infrastructure

According to the core principles set out by the UK Digital Framework Task Group, the national digital twin will be a federated set of digital twins.
