Graduate Admissions

Apply using the Applicant Portal

The Apply Now button on the right will take you to the Applicant Portal, where you can create and submit your application and supporting documents, and request references.

An application is only complete when:

  1. you have submitted your application and supporting documents via the Applicant Portal
  2. you have paid the £60 application fee
  3. your referees have provided their references.

If you miss the deadlines specified in this section, you will not be able to submit your application.

Projects are created and advertised by the MedImmune programme. Applications should only be made if there is a specifically advertised project. DO NOT APPLY if there is not an advertised project. Candidates that apply outside of a recruitment period for a specifically advertised project will not be considered.

This course is part of a scheme within the Graduate School of Life Sciences which enables three applications to be made with payment of a single £60 application fee. A list of other eligible courses and further information can be found here

Selection Process

Applicants will be shortlised for interview based on academic merit and interviews will be carried out, as far as possible, within four weeks of the advertised closing date.

For each intake, the final projects to be offered under the programme will be selected by the programme's Steering Committee. There will be a minimum of two and a maximum of six projects on offer each year. Advertisements for the programme will be circulated online. There will be an application window of six weeks during which applicants will need to apply via the Applicant Portal to the programme. Applications for the 2019/20 academic year will be considered in either one round of applications for all projects or individual projects may be advertised separately. Individual projects may be advertised at different times throughout the year and applicants are strongly advised to check the programme website for details.
