Graduate Admissions

The Classics MPhil is an opportunity to broaden one’s intellectual interests and test them rigorously in group discussions in the classroom and in independent research with the guidance of one’s supervisor. The year is fast-paced and demanding but will enlighten one’s knowledge of the classical civilizations immensely.

Ashley Mehra - Greek Literature / Culture (June 2019)

The great advantage of being a student in the Classics MPhil is having the independence to formulate my own research questions and intellectual interests while still feeling supported along the way. For the classicist hoping to experience the rigours and joys of self-led research, in a close-knit graduate community and under the guidance of leading faculty, there is no better fit.

Peggy Xu - Ancient History (June 2018)
