Most of our students find it useful to work with a laptop.

Whilst our libraries our excellent, some students prefer to purchase books for their own use. They also may choose to undertake research which necessitates specialist equipment and materials.

The Department advocates that students plan for research which they can arrange funding for. Fieldwork, visits and research which take place overseas can be costly.
