Postgraduate Study

The benefits of the MPhil at Cambridge is that it allowed me to audit courses within the department, and outside of it. I wasn't trained in Sociology as an undergraduate student, so the flexibility of the course allowed me to learn deeply about marginality and exclusion from a sociological perspective, while complementing my knowledge from other disciplines.

The core modules in the MPhil are small and intimate, which was a huge advantage, especially after spending four years of my undergraduate studies in large lecture halls with little opportunity for interactive learning.

Marginality and Exclusion pathway allowed me to focus on a specific research area, which then laid the foundation for my current PhD topic.
